With the Closing of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia 2020 RESORT Collections this past weekend I’m left with a feeling of a nostalgic stage that leaves it all up to me to recreate these styles into my daily wardrobe for this upcoming year.
Continuing a mixing of Streetstyle and Resort collections into a Luxury vs. Streetstyle arena bringing a secular of ideas and trends alike to feature such dramas as A Bohemian Western, a Cruella de Vil afternoon, a Pink Holiday and features of Swim, Matching Sets, Luxury x Streetstyle with minimalism alike, Plus Size, and even exclusive Mens Collections.
A BOHEMIAN WESTERN
Along with We Are Kindred’s boudoir style, Tigerlily, Aqua Blu, Matteau, Carla Zampatti, Thurley, Chloe Mottau -St. George and Sarah Moore – FDS -The Innovators all display a saloon style vibe in long and flowy pretty and feminine collections. With wanting virtuous women waiting inside in their all whites by Lee Mathews seemingly undergarments of an old era as men in MNDATORY – St. George visit in stride defending all that is honor.
A destination along dirt roads dressed in Bassike, Hansen & Gretel and Double Rainbouu from afar with a travelers guide or a mosh trucker picking up hitchhikers on his way to Coachella.
Passing traveling festival vendors dressed in Leo & Lin, Alice McCall, and Benjamin Garg -St. George combine a tailgate party of victorian couples and gypsy caravans.
All while minimalists make their presence in Kate Inseson – FDS-The Innovators and Madison Hislop – St. George.
CRUELLA DE VIL
Another great performance by Cruella de Vil as she enters her next stage onto this world she owns and dominates in pieces by Carla Zampatti, Mariam Seddiq, P.E.Nation, Emma Mullholland, and The Innovators; George Habibeh-FDS, and Jinna Nam-FDS.
Wisking off to her PR meetings out of a MAD MEN episode she gently raids the closet of a Southeast Asian Princess in pieces by Alice McCall, Chloe Mottau-St. George, Madison Hislop-St.George, and The Innovators; Valeska Dominguez-FDS, Mia Rodriguez-FDS, and Kate Ineson-FDS.
Also featuring mens styles by AZZO, Double Rainbouu, Hansen & Gretel, and Justin Cassin for the IT guy in her life as Cruella gives us a glimpse into her daily routines of first dates or a walk on the beach with ‘over the top’ looks to include Leo & Lin, Bec + Bridge, and Aqua Blu.
A PINK HOLIDAY
Seems someone else is always trying to pull off your favorite color and this season was PINK… perhaps causing a sticky situation to choose from pieces by Double Rainbouu, Alice McCall, Karla Spetic, Jonathan Simkhai, Lee Mathews, Carla Zampatti, and Hansen & Gretel,
Who doesn’t love a double look especially in a matching set of tops and bottoms opening the doorway to white tees and boyfriend jeans.
